This map shows information on Edinburgh Festivals’ targeted community engagements, Fringe venues, and ticket-buying trends for the Fringe, the Edinburgh International Festival and the Edinburgh Book Festival. The map also has datasets on year-round venues, provided by The List, and shows the Scottish Index of Multiple Deprivation. SIMD is the Scottish Government’s standard approach to identify areas of multiple deprivation in Scotland. SIMD looks at the extent to which an area is deprived across seven domains: income, employment, education, health, access to services, crime and housing.
