This map shows information about Edinburgh Festival Fringe tickets sold through the Fringe box office, and purchased by people in EH postcodes, in the City of Edinburgh and surrounding areas.
The project was funded by the Data-Driven Innovation Initiative as part of their 2022/23 small grants funding call to support social change through innovation.

The map opens on data from 2019.

Click the ‘clear’ button to go back to the start or refresh the page in your browser.
Ticket numbers per postcode area are shaded according to the scale in bottom left of the map.
Other menus are available in the bottom right-hand corner:
- Changing the year from which the data is mapped (drop-down menu)
- Venues on/off check box
- Change year-to-year on/off check box. Please note there is no data in 2017, 2020, and 2021. Blue dots (representing an increase) and red dots (representing a decrease) are show for 2018 and 2019, based on the previous year, and 2022, based on data from 2019. The bigger the dot, the bigger the increase or decrease.
