Building on the first iteration of this project, supported by the DDI Small Grants Programme in 2023, the second phase of the work, supported by Creative Informatics, has further developed both the maps produced by the research, and the project’s approaches.
In the second phase, the maps we have developed have used an approach we are terming ‘storytelling maps’. This is an attempt to produce a clearer narrative structure through the data presented by the maps, while retaining the ‘open audience insights’ framing that underpins the project.
